Long-Range Pronghorn Hunting in Wyoming

Pronghorn are one of the great public-land hunts of the American West. They have sharp eyesight, live in wide-open country and rarely let you get close, which is why many hunters stretch out and take longer shots. Wyoming holds the largest pronghorn population in North America and offers plenty of public land, but a long shot demands practice, a stable rest, a good rangefinder and an honest understanding of your limits.

The Setup

This hunt was taken with a Remington 700 Alpha 1 bolt-action, a Telson Optics scope and an MDT LSS chassis. A rigid chassis and a quality optic help make repeatable hits at distance, but ethical hunting always comes first: know your rifle’s drop at range, check the wind, and only take a shot you are confident in.
