Can This Rifle Hit the Target From THIS Far Away?

Affiliate disclosure: This post contains affiliate links. As an affiliate, I may earn a commission from qualifying purchases at no extra cost to you.

Setting up a Savage Axis for the range

In this video, I get a Savage Axis ready for the range and go through the full setup process. We also sight in the scope to make sure our shots are on target, then stretch it out to see how far it can hit.

Setup checklist

  • Mount the scope solidly: good rings and bases and a level reticle.
  • Bore sight first: it gets you on paper faster.
  • Sight in at a short distance: then confirm at longer range.
  • Record your zero: note your settings and ammo.
