If you spend long days in the mountains like I do—whether you’re glassing for elk, roughing it in snow, or burning boot leather chasing mule deer—you know that good food can make or break a hunt. Too many snacks taste great for five minutes, then leave you feeling sluggish or hungry an hour later. That’s why I’m always looking for real, high-protein fuel made for hunters… not candy bars disguised as energy.

Recently I picked up Matt Hat Jerky, and let me just tell you—this is the kind of pack snack you save not because you have to, but because you want to. It’s tender, rich in flavor, and built around quality cuts of meat that actually fuel your body. No mystery texture. No weird aftertaste. Just hearty, savory jerky that tastes like it was made by someone who understands hunting, hard work, and long miles.

What Makes Matt Hat Jerky Worth It?

High protein for sustained energy on the mountain, at work, or during long drives.

Bold, clean flavor that doesn’t taste processed or artificially sweet.

Easy to pack—perfect for hunts, hikes, gym bags, or the everyday glove box stash.

Made for people who live the lifestyle, not just snack aisle browsers.

Whether you’re packing in deep or road-hunting with the heater on full blast, jerky is a staple for every hunter. Some brands feel like cardboard. This one doesn’t. It’s the kind of jerky you buy once and immediately order again.

Ready to Try It?

A wooden cutting board displaying pieces of jerky, surrounded by colorful vegetables and seasonings, including peppers, onions, salt, sugar, and a small bowl of dark sauce.

Fuel your hunt. Fuel your day.
Because every good shot starts with good energy.

My Favorite Hunting and Shooting Tripod!

I have used BOG, Athlon, Sunwayfoto, Vortex and many other tripods for filming/shooting. I do still like some other brands for certain applications but for optimal use, durability and usability I turn to SunWayFoto tripods. They use metal instead of plastic and high quality parts. Also, they have good engineering that allow for multiply uses in the field.
